Annual Q-Tech Hiking Day to the Runding Castle Ruin

Measurement News from Q-Tech

Every year Q-Tech organizes a hike

Q-Tech organized the annual hiking day to the Runding castle ruins on October 16, 2021 as part of its 15th anniversary, starting and ending at Gastaus Mauerer in Pinzing. During the hike, Q-Tech employees were able to vividly experience the beauty of the castle ruins together with their families and children - family fun guaranteed!

The hostess Martha Mauerer took the hiking party by bus to the Runding castle ruins. There the enthusiastic hikers were awaited by Franz Amberger - chairman of the Burgfreunde Runding e.V.. Today, the impressive remains of what was once the largest castle complex in the Bavarian Forest can still be found - the accessible rampart alone is almost 400 meters long. Franz Amberger guided the employees and their families through the complete ruins and informed them with many interesting stories and information about the history of Runding Castle.

Experience the joy of hiking together

Afterwards, the hiking party set off on foot via Blauberger See back to the Mauerer Inn. On the way they also took a break, where they were well supplied with provisions by the innkeeper Josef Mauerer. After the delicious refreshment they continued their hike. During the entire hike there was a lot of laughter and talking together. When they reached their destination at Gasthaus Mauerer in Pinzing, which was also the starting point, they had dinner together to celebrate the day. The Q-Tech hikers finished the day together with drinks in a cozy, fun and relaxed atmosphere.
